The Application Process, Criteria and Requirements
Applicants must be aged between 14 and 24 and be actively engaged in volunteering in football within Worcestershire.

You will need to:

  • Be committed to attending and actively participating in all Worcestershire FA Youth Council meetings (dates TBC)
  • Be committed to the aims of Worcestershire FA Youth Council and providing a voice for children and young people in Worcestershire
  • Be willing to actively participate in the work of the Worcestershire FA Youth Council
  • Be able to deliver and attend various football events related to the role
  • Register or already be registered with the Worcestershire FA Football Futures Programme
  • Be willing to complete the FA CRC process (if aged 16+)

IMPORTANT: This season interviews will be held for positions on the Youth Council, taking place in August.

Being part of the Youth Council requires a large amount of commitment.

Meetings typically take place on a monthly basis at Worcestershire FA Offices in Droitwich between 6:30-8:30pm. Occasional support at further evening/weekend events is also encouraged.

DEADLINE: FRIDAY 24TH JULY 2015 AT MIDDAY.

What will being a member of the Worcestershire FA Youth Council involve?

  • Advising Worcestershire FA and key partners on what children and young people want from football including as players, coaches, referees and volunteers
  • Being an advocate for football within the County
  • Engaging more young people in football as players and volunteers
  • Developing a Children and Young People network in Worcestershire
  • Supporting Worcestershire FA staff to deliver the County Football Development Plan

Why have a Worcestershire FA Youth Council?

Young people are the future of our game; our future players, coaches, referees and our future workforce. Therefore it’s vital we engage and retain them in football from an early age to secure the future of football. The Worcestershire FA Youth Council act as an advisory board and representative body for children and young people, aiming to inspire, empower and provide a voice for all children and young people to influence change, and develop a lasting legacy in football. The Youth Council also form an integral part of the County FA and are overseen by the Worcestershire FA Football Development Team and Worcestershire FA Board.
