Leigh and Bransford kits bound for Africa

    •

The Worcestershire FA is delighted to announce that Leigh & Bransford Badgers FC has become the latest club to donate kits to Africa. Their generous donation of nearly 200 shirts will help support the RAF led appeal and provide much needed support for youngsters across Africa and beyond. Our sincerest thanks go to Leigh & Bransford Badgers for their fantastic support. Wyre Forest Phoenix and Warndon Villages have also kindly donated kit for the appeal.

Worcestershire FA Clubs have supported The Taking Football Kits to Africa and Beyond Charitable Appeal programme for many years. The scheme started in 2006 is run by Wing Commander Neil Hope MBE from RAF Shawbury in Shropshire in conjunction with The RAF Football Association. Since its inception the scheme has delivered around 50,000 football shirts to 51 Countries worldwide.

WFA Discipline & Communications Manager Chris Dale said " We are once again so grateful to those Worcestershire Clubs who have continued to support such a worthy cause. Once again, Neil and his team at The RAF have worked immensely hard to collate all the kits and then get them to places of need"
