Volunteer Club Assistant Workshop
Following feedback from clubs and volunteers Worcestershire FA will be running a series of club assistant referee (linesperson) workshops.
Each session is available to anyone who has an interest in running the line. Whether you are the chosen volunteer on a weekly basis who is handed the flag or have never even had a go, come along to this fun and interactive session.
Don’t just take our word for it; here is what some of the participants said after previous sessions:
“If I get any more parents on board I'll definitely enrol them on another course if you run one.”
“As a coach of young children it will be a real help for me when it comes to teaching offside.”
“I felt the mixture of different personalities of trainer was useful, as was the outside practical session. The indoor session was also really helpful.”
Topics covered will include what to do (and what not to do!) with the flag, how to signal, basic decision making, positioning and plenty of opportunities to apply the techniques in a practical setting out on the pitch.
This is not a formal qualification, but participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
If there is not currently a workshop available to book, please complete the expression of interest form here. You can register your interest either as an individual or as a club, if you would like a bespoke workshop at your venue.
