Inclusion workshop

LGBTQ+ Inclusion Workshop for Clubs

An opportunity to discover how your club can become more inclusive and combat discrimination.

Worcestershire FA would like to invite clubs to our inclusion evening to learn how grassroots football can become an inclusive and positive space for all.

Participants (coaches and club welfare officers are encouraged) will have the opportunity to learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, barriers to participation as well as how clubs can create a safe playing environment where players and volunteers can be supported in the right ways. The evening will be led by Annette Nelson, Education Lead for Football V Homophobia and who has previously worked as an Equality and Diversity Advisor for a local authority. Annette has delivered workshops across the country to other County FAs as well as Chelsea FC. This workshop is key to clubs who wish to become more inclusive and who wish to seek further support and education on the LGBTQIA+ community and equality. It’s a chance for open discussion, ask questions and discover more about creating a positive environment for all.
