Staff and Recruitment Update

Changes to the team and current vacancies.

There have recently been a number of changes within our team based at County Sports Ground.

With effect from 1st September 2022, Ollie Williams moves into the new position of Chief Operating Officer to support the delivery of our key strategic priorities alongside Chief Executive Officer, Nichola Trigg. Ollie is well known around the county, having been with Worcestershire FA since 2013 when he joined us as a Football Development Officer before doing a tremendous job as Referee Development Manager in recent years.

In the short term, Ollie remains the main point of contact for Referee Development across Worcestershire FA and Herefordshire FA.

August saw a new staff member join the team, with Mark Burford being appointed as our new Facilities Manager. Mark is overseeing the running and maintenance of County Sports Ground including coordinating bookings and pitch/site maintenance alongside Paul Loader and Spencer Knott. Spencer has been part of our team since November 2021 and works closely with Mark and Paul to ensure that the site looks welcoming and is ready to use for external bookings.

Our Football Development Team, led by Martin Collier, has also seen some changes.

Jodie Williams is leaving the team shortly to take a full-time professional coaching role at Fulham Women FC. Jodie has been with us since 2016 and has worked hard to increase opportunities for female participants as well as the development of youth football provision and overseeing our Youth Council. We thank Jodie for all of her efforts and wish her the very best in her new career.

Issey Lee-Fisher joined the team in July as a Football Development Officer and her role includes leading on Disability, Inclusion and Youth Football.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of the ongoing restructure and recruitment process, we are no longer accepting applications for the previously advertised position of Facilities & Investment Officer.

Lynne Williams left the team in April 2022 after a number of years of valuable service. Lynne left with our best wishes and we are very grateful for her efforts across Coach/Referee Education and our administration processes.
