FEMALE MINI-SOCCER REFEREE COURSE 2019
Worcestershire FA is delighted to confirm plans to run a female-only mini soccer referee course this summer.
Following a recent recruitment drive our female referee workforce continues to grow. With the introduction of a new female referee pathway, the time to get involved as a referee has never been better. Whether you just want to help out at a local club or one day would like to progress up the ladder, why not have a go and become a mini-soccer referee?
With courses running during the school holidays they are designed to target, inspire and provide further knowledge for females aged 14+. Mini soccer is played by children up to the age of 10 years old and the role of the referee is that of an educator as well as being there to apply the Laws of the Game.
The female-only course will cost just £40 and each learner will be provided with ongoing support through mentors and female-only development sessions to ensure extended guidance during the first steps into refereeing.
The only requirements prior to booking are: a) you are female, b) you are aged 14+ (adults welcome!) and c) you are interested in becoming a referee.
An upcoming course has been confirmed as follows:
Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th August 2019 – 12:30pm-4:30pm on both days
Venue: University of Worcester, WR2 6AJ

The courses will only run with a minimum of 10 learners so if you are genuinely interested please book a place to save disappointment. Following the course learners will need to referee a minimum of 3 matches. A Safeguarding Children qualification and DBS Check may also be required dependent on your age.
Learners booked onto the course must attend both dates.
