The League IT Grants Scheme

The Football Association re-introduces the IT Grants scheme for affiliated leagues.

The Football Association has reintroduced IT Grants, which will be available to FA affiliated leagues throughout the 2018/19 season.

Leagues, which are either using FA Full-Time or Whole Game System Player Registration, are eligible for up to £1500 to be claimed against the purchase of new IT equipment.

Since the introduction of the Whole Game System, a significant amount of league administration is now online. Over 55% of grassroots football now uses online player registration, along with the new Matchday app, and this has increased the requirement for leagues to be online.

Therefore, leagues can secure funding against the purchase of equipment such as:

  • Computers, laptops or tablets
  • Monitors, a mouse, and keyboards
  • Printers
  • ID Card printers
  • Multi-function devices (E.G. an all in one printer, scanner, and photocopier)
  • Laminators
  • Telephones
  • Software
  • External hard drives
  • Digital cameras

In order for the league to secure funding, it must meet the criteria which can be found within your local County FA’s policy.

*Please note, the amount of funding available is dependent on the size of the league, with a minimum bursary of £360 and maximum bursary of £1500.

Applications are now submitted online and can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

A completed application must contain an attached copy of the receipts of purchase, which will be approved by your County FA, and then processed by The FA for payment.
