Continued learning opportunities

Learning and development is an active, continuous process. It's a journey that never ends. And one that is shaped by experiences and learning opportunities gathered anywhere, anytime.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is part of being an FA Licensed Coach - it's for those striving to be the best coach they can be, and those trying to constantly improve their skill set.

To support your coaching journey, The FA and Worcestershire FA provide a range of learning opportunities for you to engage with. From monthly events across the County to online resources, to in situ mentoring you can access the development support that will make the biggest impact to you and your role.

We also offer In Service events for Charter Standard Clubs, from club administration workshops to updates and information on what’s new for the next season. Normally the Club Secretary or Charter Standard Co-ordinator would attend these but they are open to everyone who is involved in a Charter Standard Club.

We are very fortunate to have a funding partner – Heart of Worcestershire College – which allows us to deliver bespoke workshops over the course of the season in addition to the traditional Coach Education courses. These are advertised on the Coach Education available courses page. We welcome any suggestions on topics for season 2018/2019.

FAQs

Absolutely. The FA runs events all over the country and for all levels. To explore events please visit our national CPD events page here.

If you're an FA Level 1 or 2 learner, continuous professional development hours are optional and so there is no longer a requirement for licensing .

If you're a UEFA qualified coach, however, you are required to complete 15 hours of CPD every three years to maintain your licence, which The FA recommends is best achieved by completing 5 hours per season
