Upcoming Referee Courses

Start your journey as a referee.

Worcestershire FA is pleased to confirm details of upcoming referee courses.

Refereeing can be challenging but also very rewarding. With fantastic support mechanisms, opportunities to develop and a clear pathway to higher levels of the game, there has never been a better time to be a referee.

Once you have completed the course with Worcestershire FA, we guarantee to provide you with a mentor who will watch some of your matches and provide you with support both on and off the pitch.

Details of how to become a referee, as well as our upcoming courses, can be found below.

HOW DO I BECOME A REFEREE?

Learners must live in Worcestershire and be aged 14 or over to become a referee.

Step 1: Click here to complete The FA Guide to the Laws of the Game

Step 2: Click here to complete The FA Safeguarding Children Course

Step 3: After you have completed Step 1 and Step 2, you need to email referees@worcestershirefa.com

Your email should include your full name and date of birth so that we can check the qualifications are showing on your profile

Please note: If you are aged 16 or over, you will also need to complete a DBS Check

Step 4: Attend The FA Referee Course (organised by Worcestershire FA)

Step 5: Referee at least 5 matches to complete the qualification

COURSE 1

This course is for learners aged 19+ only and is FREE

Monday 30th January 2023 6.30pm to 9.30pm - Classroom

Sunday 5th February 2023 10.00am to 6.00pm - Classroom and Astro

At Wolverley C of E Secondary School, Blakeshall Lane, Wolverley, Kidderminster, DY11 5XQ

COURSE 2

Monday 20th February 2023 9.30am to 12.30pm – Classroom

Thursday 23rd February 2023 9.30am to 5.00pm – Classroom and 3G

At Worcestershire FA, County Sports Ground, Claines Lane, Worcester, WR3 7SS

Courses that are not funded by our delivery partner currently cost £135.
