Guidance for WFA League & Club Welfare Officers

As you are probably aware, the Football Association (FA) has advised that all grassroots football in England is postponed for the foreseeable future. To support League and Club Welfare Officers, we have created the following guidance.

Suspension of All Football

All professional and grassroots football is postponed until further notice. Our advice is that you do not provide any form of football (training/friendlies etc) in any capacity until further advice is received from the government/The FA and we will communicate this to you.

The WFA offices will be temporarily closed and all staff will be working from home.

Safeguarding will still remain, as always, a priority.   With no football taking place I do not expect to see any poor practice concerns however if there are any urgent safeguarding concerns please follow the guidance below;

Reporting Process will be as follows.
