With the help of The FA, the PFA and the Premier League, Kick It Out continues to operate as footballs equality and inclusion campaign, working with players at professional and grass roots and community level, clubs, managers and fans throughout the year.
Its during the weeks of action where the campaign remains most visible, with the period, extended this season to incorporate more activity, acting as a united stand against discrimination and for equality.
Lord Herman Ouseley, Chair of Kick It Out, is urging grass roots spectators to remain vigilant when it comes to reporting abuse seen or heard on parks and pitches:
“Some of the worst excesses of abuse, where players, fans, even managers and coaches, were abused, harassed and attacked based on colour, race and religion, are now thankfully a thing of the past. But, pockets of unacceptable behaviour still exist. It’s the duty of everyone within the game to flag this up where and when it happens.
“It’s under the banner One Game, One Community which we tackle bigotry, intolerance and anti-social behaviour and its presence in our game. If something or someone is damaging your experience of football, share it with the appropriate governing body, club or contact Kick It Out where details will be taken, and acted upon.”
Throughout the weeks of action, Premier and Football League clubs will be making their own contribution by holding matchday events at their dedicated fixture.
The Worcestershire FA is making their presence felt, working in partnership with the following organisations, supporting their projects to raise awarness.
