On Wednesday 23rd April 2008, Sir Bobby Robson attended a fund raising event for one of our FA Community Charter Standard Clubs, Inkberrow FC.
The event was to celebrate the development of Inkberrow Football Club and in particular to support their project to provide additional football pitches on land adjacent to the current village playing fields. With the assistance of the WFA £100,000 has been secured following a successful application to the Football Foundation but more funding is needed in order to complete the project.
Sir Bobby attended a lunch in the village hall and had a room full of football supporters spellbound as he recounted football memories from his illustrious career. Sir Bobby then watched the Inkberrow FC coaches deliver a coaching session to over one hundred junior club members.
