Women and Girls

Football continues to be the number one participation sport in the country for women and girls and the qualification of England Women to the FIFA World Cup Finals in 2007 is another milestone in the progression of the game in England.

Throughout the year, Worcestershire FA organise and develop a variety of opportunities for females of all ages to participate within football and provide support to clubs, players, coaches and volunteers through:

 Club Development
 In School Coaching Sessions
 Female Only Coaching Courses
 Female Only Coaches Association
 Mentoring Programme
 Volunteering Opportunities
 Girls Only School Leagues
 After School Coaching Sessions
 Goalkeeping Courses
 FA Girls Centre of Excellence
 WFA Girls Development Centre
 FA Charter Standard
 Football For All
 Coaching Days
 Holiday Programmes

The Mercian Festival Junior League organises all competitive girls football in Worcestershire, with girls competing in U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15 age groups.
Also in Worcestershire, girls from Kidderminster Harriers Centre of Excellence play in a regional Centre of Excellence League in the U10, U12, U14 and U16 age groups.

We currently have 10 senior Women’s Clubs in Worcestershire competing in the Kidderminster County Women’s Football League and the West Midlands Regional Women's Football League.
