Worcestershire FA Charter Standard Boys Player Development Centre

Please find below details for year 3 of the WFA Charter Standard Boys Player Development Centre.

The aim of the Centre is to offer young players with potential the best coaching and environment we can offer to assist their personal development in football. The Centre accommodates boys in the following age groups for the 2008/9 season: U11, U12, U13 & U14/U15 (please note girls can be nominated for the under 11 age group, but it is strongly recommended they should seek a place at the Kidderminster Harriers Girls Centre of Excellence).

As per previous years, the Centre will run for two, ten week blocks on Thursday evenings at Pershore High School with the first block commencing in September 2008. Under 11’s and 12’s participate between 5.45pm and 7.15pm with the Under 13’s and the Under 14/15 groups participating from 7.15pm until 8.45pm.

Following summer assessments the coaching programme for the first half of the season has been confirmed. This programme can be downloaded by clicking the relevant attachment on the right hand-side of this page. Mid season assessments are scheduled to take place in December 2008 for which details will be distributed to clubs accordingly.

Whilst the primary aim of the Centre is to develop players, the secondary aim is to develop coaching by encouraging grassroots football coaches to attend the Player Development Centre and observe the sessions, hopefully developing new ideas that can be taken back into the club environment and reproduced.
