Does your club have new age groups each season? Or are you a school that wants to increase or set up football opportunities for its pupils? If yes is the answer this is an ideal funding opportunity to bring much needed funds in to help develop the players/pupils and volunteers/teachers to enable your club or school to reach its full potential.
The aim of the scheme is to introduce new activities, to increase participation and provide training for volunteers to support grassroots football.
Grant Ceiling
Grants are available of up to £10,000 to help introduce new activities (although not available to help support existing activities) for clubs and schools who aim to increase participation and develop grassroots football within their school or club.
The scheme funds the following areas:
Training Course (FA Level One Courses)
Facility Hire (Training & Matches)
Hire of FA Qualified Coaches (For new teams and /or clubs currently without qualified coaches)
Hire of qualified referees
Affiliation fees
Travel expenses (Over and beyond activities)
Recruitment Events (Taster days)
First Aid Kits

The process
Step 1
Download the application form by clicking on the link on the right and familiarise yourself with what needs to be completed and what the project will be to require funding. (Example: Support the start up of additional mini soccer teams over the next 3 years)
Step 2
Contact the County FA Football Development Team at the County Headquarters to set up a support meeting to discuss the project and gain advice on completing the application.
Step 3
Send complete application to the County FA Football Development Team for final assessment before submission to the Football Foundation.
Step 4
The Football Foundation will contact the applicant direct with correspondences with confirmation of funding received within 8-12 weeks.
